Nelson Mandela in Critical but Stable Condition


South African President Jacob Zuma says Nelson Mandela, the South African anti-apartheid icon and former president's health condition is 'critical' but now stable. This comes after wrong information about Mandela's health situation being released allover the internet.

According to BBC, President Zuma's office has warned against speculations about Mandela's health. The office says any announcements will be availed by the President or his spokesman Mr. Maharaj. Mr Maharaj also criticized and warned media houses that continue to broadcast unconfirmed information.

The 94 years old former president has been at the Pretoria hospital since June 8 due to a recurring lung infection. Reports say there is a mixture of emotions in and out side the hospital. Hundreds of citizens have been coming outside the hospital and expressing their support for the aparthied icon and his family.
