In an interview with SFX magazine, Mark Millar confirmed his intentions of not proceeding with the ‘Kick-Ass’ sequel after the third part. “This is a realistic superhero Story,” he said. “And if someone doesn’t have a bullet proof vest like superman and doesn’t have Batman’s millions then eventually he is going to turn around the wrong corner and get his head kicked in or gets a shot in the face” Miller added. “So Kick-Ass needs to reflect that. There has to be something dramatic at the end, he cannot do this for the rest of his life.”
This isn’t the best news for Kick-Ass lovers who were just getting into the sequel. There is something different about Kick-Ass compared to the likes of Spiderman Batman and so on… Kick-Ass is truly a realistic superhero because Aaron Taylor-Johnson starring as Dave Lizewski has neither super natural powers nor sophisticated equipment.
Kick-Ass was released in 2010 and made up to $20 million in just US Box Office alone and a worldwide gross of $96,188,903. The ‘Kick-Ass 2’will not be out until June 28 in US and July 19 in UK. Thereafter, we’ll only be left with one more release and then the story ends. … so sad! We only hope Mark gets us another one after Kick Ass.

Should be good for a few laughs ? Ehhh, I'll see it for $6 and it's .50 a laugh that way.
i was really surprised that I liked the first one so much, I usually get bored by the comic movies. Especially ones with Nick Cage. Excited!
I hate sequels!!! But I like this one
The pilot was well received by critics who got screeners, but Fox didn’t pick it up to go to series.
Mark Millar says a lot of things. Most of them aren’t true. I will still be very surprised if this gets made with the original cast.
What if before seeing the first film, someone had told you it has scenes of brutal child abuse, torture, men being crushed to death and killed via microwave?
Cant wait!! Loved the first kick ass
All i want to see is Chloe kicking ass, rest is not important for me…
The first actually felt lazy at the start...any how it caught up later in the movie...
@ryans...your funny though you are right. I was not really a fan of Kick ass 1. I never watched it but I guess I have to look for it now. I like realistic stuff.
The title sounds dubious for me
kick ass 1 not good, so i dont expect any thing good in 2
